Welcome to this week’s news.
Thank you for all your lovely snack donations. This week we are collecting seeds, compost and small plastic pots for planting, so please keep those coming in. Thank you. We are learning about growing and decay through plants/flowers etc. The learning intention from the EYFS is in Understanding The World – 30-50 months – ‘developing an understanding of growth, decay and changes over time’. We will also be talking about animals such as a kitten and how it develops into a cat, a puppy into a dog and so on. Please can you talk to your child about flowers/plants/animals and how they grow and change over time as this will assist their learning. Thank you.
Please can I remind you that we have banned nuts from lunch boxes due to a child with a nut allergy. But if you would like your child to have them as a treat on the way home from Pre-school then please feel free to give them to your child once outside the Pre-school premises. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact any member of staff. Thank you.
Next Monday (13th March) the funeral of a 12 year old local girl will be taking place in St.Peters Church (next door). We have therefore been asked to inform you that there is to be no parking in the church at all and also that the car park at Shoreside may be extremely busy. We are asking parents to consider picking their children up at 2.45 on this day to help avoid congestion outside. Please talk to a member of staff if you have any questions. Thank you.
I will be sending home the contracts for next term this week, please can you check them and return them to me as soon as possible. Thank you.
At Baby and toddler group this week Pauline will be offering gloop (cornflour and water) as an activity. The children really enjoy this activity so why not go along and try it out with your little ones. The group takes place every Tuesday morning from 9.00 – 11.00 in the Methodist Church, Shaldon.
Well that’s it for this week. Until next time!
